Recently, Nadia Khan had to file a complaint with the cybercrime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against an IT expert for defrauding her of millions of rupees. According to details, the Nadia Khan approached an IT expert to resolve some issues with her YouTube channel in September 2020.
“In September 2020, I approached an IT expert, Hammad Sami, due to some problems with my YouTube account. He used my laptop for 10 minutes. He tricked me in his conversations and added his bank details into my accounts,” she said.
Following the change of the bank account on her YouTube channel, the revenue of her channel was missing from September 2020 to January 2021. When she approached the video sharing platform, YouTube confirmed that all her payments have been transferred into an account titled Hammad Sami, the IT expert.
After the FIA investigated the matter, it was yet again confirmed that the IT expert has been receiving all of her money. The cyber crime wing arrested the culprit and he also confessed to committing the crime.
The actress expressed her disappointment over the slow work of FIA. She said that despite giving all the evidence to the agency ‘the case still dragged on for a year.’ “Cybercrime should be more efficient,” she said.
